Cannabis legalization in Nevada is on its way for 2016. The Initiative to Tax and Regulate Marijuana is guaranteed to be given approval by voters on the November 2016 ballot.
If approved, possession of up to an ounce of medicinal marijuana, cultivation of up to six personal cannabis plants and cannabis retail outlets will be legalized.
Nevada would be the fifth state in the U.S. to legalize cannabis if the passage passes the November 2016 ballot. Together with California, Arizona and Massachusetts, they would make 10% of United States with cannabis legalization, whereas four years prior was 0%.
